I can't express how much research I did on these types of heaters. Reviews are mixed but the vast majority was satisfied. I compared brand names and it didn't really seem to matter the brand, reviews basically were the same across the board. So then I'm looking at price and features. I believe this is the one. I've had this for almost a month. It arrived within 1 week, no shipping damage at all, opened the box and plugged it in and it was heating. This unit is not cheaply made. It looks like a piece of furniture with the detail they put into this heater. I have it located in my kitchen which has sliding glass patio doors and tile flooring so it's usually 4 degrees colder. I use this in conjunction with my gas furnace. My furnace does not run as often since there is no more cold air drafting in from the kitchen. The infrared heater does not run all the time either.
